KAEROBOX FITNESS - eat Healthy, gain Energy, live Right Healthy Diet Here are some guidelines for healthy eating that have proven to be beneficial to me. I hope they will be to you as well. 1. Try not to over stuff yourself. It takes a few minutes for your body to communicate to your mind that it's full. The mistake many of us make is we continue to eat until we're in pain. By that time, it's too late!
2. Drink plenty of water. This is key. Remember, water is your workout partner. Try to consume a minimum of 64oz. per day.
3. Stay away from a lot of sugary snacks. Replace the plastic wrapper with things that come in a natural wrapper, i.e. fruits, vegetables, etc.
4. Fried foods and soft drinks are off limits
5. Decrease your intake of (1) processed foods, e.g. partially hydrogenated, etc. (2) fats, e.g. cheese, ice cream, etc. (3) sugar, e.g. high fructose, etc.
6. Eat smaller portions more frequently – about 6 meals per day. i. Lean proteins – chicken breast, fish and shell fish, sirloin steak, turkey, egg whites ii. Good carbohydrates – potatoes, brown rice, grains, yams, fruits & vegetables, oatmeal iii. Protein shakes – try adding some fresh fruits to improve the taste. |
